Holy Week Services
Well, I’ve a problem folks. I’ve been asked to put together and run a church evening service for the Wednesday of Holy Week. I WANT to try to illustrate how we in the church can be not much better than those who put Jesus on trial (fear of change, anger at ‘upstarts’, reluctance to give up tradition and/or power) but unless I’m cleverer than a very clever thing on Clever Sunday, I can see people walking out going “Harrumph!” That, though tempting, would be counterproductive. So, how to say something to wake them from their slumbers whilst not causing the poor wee things to get all scared and hide?
